I have dd in a Maxi Cosi Rodi XR for my 6 yr old dd and she has been in it since she was 3.5 and 18kgs. She finds it very comfortable, its padded, has a little recline, the covers are washable and its easy to fit using the seat belt. For some reason I cant seem to get onto the Maxi Cosi website, so heres a link to one on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Maxi-Cosi-Rodi-Bo ... d_sxp_f_pt

This is the one dd has (lilypink) btw the head rest is adjustable, in the pic that would be around the height dds is at now, you can adjust it up or down as needed.

We have Britax Isofix high back boosters...no idea what they're called but they're great seats! We've always had Britax seats - no complaints!

You have 2 options as I see it. You can get a combination car-seat and keep her in the booster until she reaches the 18kg and then remove the harness to make it a HBB. I have recently experienced the Graco Nautilus Elite which is good. Or you can get a HBB. We got the Maxi-Cosi Ferofix for DD1 as the added isofix gave me some comfort.

I've the Britax kidfix (isofix) and the Maxi Cosi rodi for dd. I love the kidfix because of the isofix, but both are good solid, comfy, decently sized seats.

We have this too, expensive but DD loves it and is very comfortable in it even when sleeping, she doesn't slump

DD2 needs a new car seat for Dh's car and we are looking at this one that is on sale in Smyths.

If anyone has it or did have it would love to know what it is like before we buy,

I didnt no this before buying but there is a beeper on it so if the girls unlock the belts while driving, the beeper sounds.
first time i went in car on my own after getting seats, i was driving about 20mins when i could hear this beeping coming from the car, no lights on dash, didnt not what was up so i pulled over  wasnt it one of the bloody seats in the back lol now when they not in the car i always make sure the belts are closed

After much looking and wondering going to go for the maxi cosi fero fix too, like the isofix and seems to be very comfy. It's quite reasonably priced on the mothercare site is think I will buy on line from them:)
