Mum-to-be has the perfect response to stranger who commented on her maternity wear

Kelsey McEwen, an expectant mother from Canada, was the subject of mum shaming from an online stranger.

But this shamer hustled with the wrong mama, and we're so glad that Kelsey has spoken out on behalf of all mums.

The eight-month pregnant meteorologist, came in for some unexpected abuse about her maternity wear, with a Twitter user referring to her as 'disgusting' because of her 'skin-tight' choice of clothing.

But thank heavens for common sense, because Kelsey didn't idly sit by, she responded with gusto, and on behalf of all mums we're so proud of her.

"When what a 34-week pregnant woman is wearing is what someone finds 'disgusting' in this world… time to check your priorities," stated Mum-to-be.

However, the fierce mum didn't stop there, she made sure to tackle the real problem about shaming in a series of tweets: "Our bodies are no one's business, pregnant or not. Self worth is not defined by our shape, number on the scale or size of clothing."

"My self worth comes down to one thing, and one thing only. ME. Compliments don't build me up and criticisms don't tear me down. And while yes, many aspects of pregnancy can be 'disgusting' (haemorrhoids, peeing accidentally, gas and heartburn), my growing belly is NOT."

"You know what IS disgusting? Hate. Racism. Terrorism. Bullying. Use your time today to share the love."

Admitting that she became a little 'fired up' when she seen the tweet, Kelsey still affirms that she is more than how she looks, and we're 100 per cent rooting for her.

How amazing is this mum-to-be? Never let someone else's passing comments get in the way of your self-worth mums.
