Met Éireann has issued a weather warning for this evening

snowMet Éireann has issued a weather warning for most of Ireland as it forecasts up to 3cm of snow and freezing temperatures over the next few days.

The status which warns of icy stretches and snow for Leinster, Monaghan and Waterford  will be in place from 6pm tonight until 8am Wednesday.

Another yellow warning is in place for Connacht, Cavan, Donegal, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Tipperary with wintry showers, up to 3cm of snow and icy patches being forecasted. The alert is in place from 6pm Monday until 8am Wednesday.

If you are planning on going out make sure you wrap up well and are careful on the roads.
