Celeb new mum gushes with pride over her baby’s latest achievement

The proud mum took to her social media channels to share her pride over Belle’s attempt to take her first steps alone, gushing over her little one’s ‘independence’ and praising her efforts.

“She wants to take her first steps alone so badly!” read the caption on the 31-year-old’s photo.

She added: “Miss Independent already! I love the determination in her #mygirl.”

Katie’s lovely update makes for welcome news, particularly after her recent revelation that she had received vile online abuse directed at her one-year-old daughter.

The mother-of-one told Reveal magazine: “When Belle was born people tweeted terrible things, like ‘she’s as ugly as her mum’, and I don’t want her to have that when she gets to school.”

Katie, who recently got engaged to her long-term partner, survived an acid attack back in 2008, going on to launch her own charity for the victims of similar crimes, as well as a successful career as a presenter and author.
