Irish parents share their DIRTIEST secrets
Yep, according to a survey carried out by household cleaning brands Dettol and Vanish – and of course they’d know – our kids are mucky pups who wreck the house.
Okay, okay, maybe the survey didn’t use those words exactly, but according to the findings a whopping 95% of Irish parents believe than maintaining hygiene in the house is way harder once you have kids. And all we have to say is that other 5% must have cleaners.
On top of this, over two-thirds are ‘stunned’ by the level of cleaning and laundry that comes with a new arrival. We know from experience that ‘stunned’ isn’t just a feeling – physically it’s a traumatised look in our eyes that says, “Help me. Let me sleep. Oh God I didn’t think it was possible to be this tired. WHY DIDN’T SOMEONE WARN ME?!”
56% surveyed also say that a whopping six loads (at least!) of laundry is the norm since having kids while 66% have no compunction in admitting they leave the house knowing their clothes are stained.
And the most shocking baby-related mess for new parents? Oh, a little thing called projectile vomiting.
