Actress shares beautiful photos from daughter’s baptism
She gave birth to her second child back in April, and this week Hollywood star and doting mum Milla Jovovich shared stunning photos from her little one’s baptism.
In a series of beautiful black-and-white pictures, the Resident Evil star shared intimate moments from daughter Dashiel Edan’s special day.
Underneath a picture of herself holding Dashiel up in front of an altar, the 39-year-old thanked photographer Maria Grazia Bruna for her beautiful work, and also explained the inspiration for Dashiel’s name.
“When we speak Russian we call her ‘Dasha’, so her Saint’s name is ‘Daria’. Amazing fact, Dashiel was born on April 1st which is also Saint Daria’s Day. Amazing, right? She was born on the day of her namesake patron saint!” wrote Milla.
She went on to post another gorgeous close-up of herself and Dashiel, cuddled up close to each other, writing: “I’m so excited about these pics!!!” Of course, Milla’s seven-year-old daughter Ever Gabo played a very special role on the day, and is pictured cradling her new sister in another breathtaking shot.
Milla, who is married to director Paul W.S. Anderson, revealed that the ceremony took place in traditional Russian Orthodox Church in Los Angeles.
